Karl Marx and the Communist Manifesto (Blog #25)

Along with the Industrial Revolution came problems faced both socially and economically. With Laissez-Faire capitalism being the most prevalent economic model, a change slowly occured in response to the problems that arose due to industrialization. Utilitarianism, which is a backlash to the problems and states that when the government must get involved, then they should get involved for the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people. Socialism, is the next rung on the ladder which increased government control over industries. To finally, communism which is full control by the government in all economic matters.

Uilitarianism is when the government only interfers when it is for the good of the people. Socialism is when the government controls the business's but the people have some say. 4. Karl Marx studied philosophy at University of Berlin before he turned to journalism and economics. he joined the flood of radicals who fled continental Europe for England. His theories of socialism and the inevitable revolt of the working class made him little money. then him and a german named Friedrich Engals outlined the book called "The Communist Manifesto".

The communist Manifesto argued that human societies have always been divided into warring classes. these were the middle class "haves" or the employers. while the workers performed backbreaking labor under terrible conditions.

capitalism is where the individuals decide what they sell, for how much, and how. in this, wealth is distributed unevenly. in socialism, the government controls the hours worked, what is produced, and where it goes. Communism is a form of complete socailism in which the means of production would be owned by the people.private property would not exsist. and Utilitarianism is where they try to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of people/
