Maria theresa reighed for 40 years while fredrick the great reighed for 48 years.so the bothed reighed for at least 40 years.They both extened their reighing territory.while fredrick was an aggresive ruler, Maria challenges austria. they were both great at the war frount. maria allied with france for her many years at war while fredrick allied with Russia.

ReplyDeleteMaria was more a religious leader and Frederick was more practical. Maria had a happy family life and Frederick had no family. Maria decreased the power of nobility were as Frederick was more agressive at foreign affairs.

ReplyDeleteThey both wanted peace,but Fredrick didn't think that Maria was strong enough so he started a war. Maria decreased the power of nobility. She also limited the amount of labor that the nobles could force peasents to do. They also reigned during the same time.

Maria Theresa went to greater measures to extend her territories, for example she took her newborn baby to reason with Hungarians for their ally. She also challenged Austria. Maria Theresa allied with France, and suffered many years of war. Fredrick allied with Russia.

Frerick the great success in war was that he was not at war for long but he wanted the power of the war to be like his fathers.

The similarities between Maria Theresa and Fredrick the Great where that they ruled in the 1700's, and both encouraged religious toleration.
