Much of Russia's climate is very harsh in terms of cold temperatures and conditions. On page 612 and 613 explains the affects of the Russian Winters. Read these two pages and answer the following questions.
1.) Explain important climatic features of Russia.
2.) Identify Russian methods for coping with their environments.
3.) Do you think climatic factors have become less significant with technological progress, explain.

1)the snow begins to fall in mid october and last till mid april and temps can reach as low as -90 degress F and the russians didnt have parkas or insulation for their homes so they got very cold

3) yes becuase now we have the technology to heat our homes and the cothes to keep us warm.
1) Russia has very sereve winters. It was also very very cold.

3)They have become less significant because the technology has improved with heaters, ovens, insulators, cars, and clothing.
It is cold in Russia. The climate stops them from having fun outdoors.They had to insulate there house really well because it was very cold.

I dont think they are as much as a problem now because they have new technolgy to keep them warm.

Kinda, but some people still use the old methods but most of them the technology has changed them.
1. That it was very cold and that they had to adjust to there living ways and what they ate. The climate also gave them there own way of dress and culture.
