The middle and working classes were most affected by industrialization, and both grew in number and social influence as did the urban areas in which they worked and lived. But it was the middle class that benefited most, enjoying a rising standard of living, increased prestige, and growing political influence.
1) The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain during the 1700s. It started spreading to other parts of Europe and to North America in the early 1800s. By the mid-1800s, industrialization had become widespread in western Europe and the northeastern United States.

While historians have noted that other societies developed considerable large-scale industry a half millennium before the West, it was the industrial revolution in Britain that accelerated a cumulative multiplication of productive power that has transformed European society and challenged the very existence of traditional societies around the world.
1. The begin of industrialization was a very busy time. This time offered many different types of jobs, and oppurity. One bad thing about that came from this was all the equipment that had to be made and used.

1.) Landowners began to enclose their land with fences or hedges. THis increase in the landholdings enabled them to cultivate larger fields. They later then came up with the seed drill and the process of crop rotation.

Economic- England's cities grew rapidly, they had no development plans, codes or building codes.
1) Many farms were being sold creating an excess of workers. Also, there were a lot of natural resources that were ready to be used. This led to factories opening to manufacture goods in a fast, efficient way.

ReplyDelete2) the pace of industrialization accelerated rapidly in britain. Peopl could earn higher wages in factories than on farms. More people could afford to heat their homes with coal and dine on expensive food. to increase production, factory owners wanted to keep their machines running as many hours as possible. The average worker spent 14 hours a day, 6 days a week to keep it running. the more the people were exausted the more people started to get hurt and sick. this caused many problems for making good time.
