2)pearl harbor was one reassion for america to go to the war becuse more than 2500 american people/soldgers died.
1) Pearl Harbor, when the Japanese attached us we lost over 2,400 soldiers, but even with the tragedies it is a reminder that yet the " day we will live in infamy."

I think these events led to war because people were being crule to eachother. They were being unfair and doing extremely bad behavior. Like killing people just because of there race. That is not okay! They were also drinving them out of their own homeland killing them!!

Asia- Early August 1945 America dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima, Hagasiki killing more than 100,000 people.
2) In 1942 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor leaving nearly 2,400 American servicemen dead, which lead to the U.S. involvement in WWII.
Asia was really a pretty crazy countrie in world war two they took their planes loaded with bombs and flew the planes with them still in it into ships other planes and buildings. This was called kamikaze attacks. Europe and africa built a very well used weapon that is still used today called the tank. the most popular tank was called the panzer tank. The tank was used in Africa and Euurope as a almost main weapon. In north America Enrico Firmi directed the first atomic bomb the building process of the bomb was called the manhatten project. The reason for the making of this bomb was to catch up with Germany's rabidly growing bomb making.

Asia= The photographer that took the picture of the flag being raised at Iwo Jima had to defend the picture for many years and had to fight on the fact that it wasn't a pre-staged photo and was just a picture taken at the right time.
2)The main event that brought the United States into World War II was the bombing of Pearl Harbor. On December 8 the Japanese soldiers attacked Pearl Harbor claiming nearly 2,400 lifes and sinking and destroying around 7 U.S ships in the first wave of attack. In the second wave they damages nearly 15 more ships, 200 aircrafts, and killed 2,388 more men.
The Battle of Britain in Europe was another event. Adolf Hitler launched an aerial assult that he hoped the would cause the country to surrender.
Iwo Jima had a great number of casaulties. The Japanese soldiers were stationed in underground caves and bunkers, so the US soldiers didnt know how many were there when they attacked.

Hitler then entered into a pact with the Soviet Union, by which the two agreed to divide the nation between them. When Hitler invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, France and Britain immediately declared war on Germany. World War II had begun.
Asia- Thousands of Japanese soldiers were killed, and thousands more committed suicide rather than surrender. By the end of the battle, only around 1,000 allowed themselves to be captured.
2) The events that led up to WWII are nearly all directly linked to what happened in WWI, the Treaty of Versailles left Germany paying reparations to other countries for what they did, it left them with military restrictions. And then there was Pearl Harbor. The Japanese striking force began their first attack at 7:49 am on December 8, and by 8:12 am had destroyed the U.S. battleships Arizona and Oklahoma, sunk California and heavily damaged four other battleships. A second wave of Japanese aircraft inflicted additional damage, destroying West Virginia, Maryland and Tennessee, damaging Pennsylvania and causing Nevada to run aground. Eleven smaller ships were hit as well, and nearly 200 aircraft destroyed; casualties numbered more than 3,400, with 2,388 killed. France and Britain were pushed too far by Germany's actions and declared War on Germany. This was the beginning of WWII
1)United States:Women worked for the armed forces at their home and abroad. Their work numbers increaced from 27% to nearly 37%.
ReplyDeleteEurope and Africa: After WWI German enginners began to develope tanks. They were a major weapon in the North Africa campaign from 1941 to 1943.
Asia:On February 19, 1945, 30,000 Marines began their assult on Iwo Jima. The battle of Iwo Jima produced the highest number of casualty rates of WWII along with the conflit's most iconic images.
2)When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor that sent the United States into World War II. The Japanese had bombed on of the United States's navel bases which took many lives and damaged or sunk many ships. The nesxt day President Roosevelt asked congress to declar war on Japen which they did. After that Japan's allies, Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler wanted to expand the amount of land they controlled. Adolf Hitler caused many Jews to flee rufuge from their homes due to Nazi persecution.
1.) United States: During WWII, women took over the work force. They began working in factories, etc. to take the place of the men who were at war. They were very proud of this and felt as important as the men. The women also became nurses on the battle field, caring for the wounded and dying soldiers.
ReplyDeleteEurope and Africa: When one thinks of D-Day, one could believe that the whole operation didn't take SO much effort and thinking time, but there's more to it. A boat had to be built that could move easily through shallow waters. This would give the soldiers the ability to get of the boat and onto shore with much more ease, if that's how you want to say it. This boat was built and named the Higgin's Boat, named after its builder. It could maneuver through even as little as 18 inches of water!
Asia: The atomic bombs that the U.S. dropped on Japan had names. :) The first bomb they dropped was named "Little Boy" and killed thousands of people and caused much damage, but Japan did not surrender. The U.S. dropped another bomb called "Big Man", and this too caused significant damage and killed thousands. This time, though, Japan finally surrendered.
2.) We participated in the war during D-Day, etc. D-Day was when our soldiers came to the shores of France to fight Nazi Germany. Many, many of our soldiers were killed, as well as Germany's troops. **CONTINUED!!**
2.) Another was the Manhattan Project. Here people worked to invent an atomic bomb. These bombs that were created were targeted for Japan. It wasn't until the second one that Japan surrendered. And yet another example is when German U-boats surrounded our shores. They were a great threat to our country, as could be imagined.

ReplyDeleteEurope/Africa- I learned that Jews were less than 1 percent of the total population. That is a very very low rate.
Asia- I learned that approximately 30,000 Marines assaulted Iwo Jima. That is a lot of Marines attacking one place at a time.
2) A few events that led to World War II were a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and the Attack at Iwo Jima. The attack on Pearl Harbor started in 1941 when Roosevelt cut off oil shipments to Japan. December 7, 1941 American sailors at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, were woken by explosions. Within 2 hours, Japanese sunk or damages 19 ships, including 8 battleships. More than 2,300 Americans killed over 1,100 wounded. The attack on Iwo Jima, a whole bunch of Marines in Iwo Jima.
